It has reportedly been revealed when FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi will make his final decision regarding whether or not to retire from international duty with Argentina.
Messi took part in his fourth FIFA World Cup in Russia, but like many others, the Blaugrana man has gone home disappointed.
After this latest tournament, many have speculated that the 31-year-old might hang up his international boots, something he has done previously – Messi announced his retirement from Argentina duties after their 2016 Copa America final loss to Chile, although it was not long before he went back on his word.
This time, however, many feel he could retire for good, but according to The Sportsman, Messi will make his decision after consulting his wife following the Albiceleste's poor showing in Russia.
It has been claims that, due to personal reasons, Messi's partner Antonella Roccuzzo could not be in Russia, which led to him being even more "closed off" from others than usual.
Following Argentina's 4-3 loss to France in the round of 16, the Barca man will now be able to spend some time with his wife and family, and decide whether or not he has a future with the Albiceleste.
