FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi, who could become a free agent at the end of the season, has reportedly been approached by three clubs in Europe.
A Spanish football expert has claimed the Argentine had a massive offer from a Chinese Super League team, and although his plan is to remain at the Blaugrana, he also has offers from Manchester City, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.
"A few months ago Messi was a little down and was thinking seriously before the World Cup in Russia to go to China," Eduardo Inda said on Spanish TV show El Chiringuito de Jugones.
"They tell me that he would have received offers of €150 million per season (R2.5 billion).
"Despite this, his intention is to stay, although he has three offers in case he decides to leave the Barca team.
"City, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain all love him."
La Liga president Javier Tebas recently insisted that Messi will stay at the Catalan club as he has received information that the 30-year-old has already committed his future to Barca.
Messi has played 17 games this season, scoring 16 goals and assisting a further five strikes.
