The Los Blancos superstar, who turned 33 today, receives a reported annual salary of €21 million (R315 million) at Real, which is far less than the likes of Neymar and Messi are getting following their new deals in 2017.
Recent reports suggested that Ronaldo is upset with Real's leadership, who seemed unwilling to offer him an improved contract. However, Spanish newspaper ABC (as cited by Marca and AS) have now reported that Los Blancos' bosses are prepared to offer Ronaldo a new €30 million (R450 million) a year deal, which would improve his current contract by €9 million (R135 million) annually.
It has been reported that Ronaldo wants to continue at the Santiago Bernabeu, and understands that now is not the right time to extend his deal.
