It is believed that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is working closely together with Neymar’s father to conjure up a world record transfer for the Brazil superstar.
Neymar joined Paris Saint-Germain at the start of the 2017/18 season, following four very successful years at Spanish giants FC Barcelona.
Many speculated that the 26-year-old’s move to France was made to pave a way for another big money move in future to Real Madrid.
Despite missing two months through injury, the Brazilian enjoyed a fantastic debut campaign with the French giants, scoring 28 goals and creating a further 16 strikes in 30 matches.
According to France Football, Real president Perez and the player’s father have been in constant contact, with their end goal to get Neymar out of Paris and to Madrid.
Real have not splashed heavily in the transfer window for quite some time, with Zinedine Zidane only buying six players in the two years he spent as manager, with only three of those players being used in the club’s first team.
With Neymar costing PSG around €222 million (R3.5 billion), it is believed that Real would need to spend around €350 million (R5.5 billion) if they are going to tempt the Ligue 1 side into selling the player.
There are rumours that Real star Cristiano Ronaldo could also leave Los Blancos in this transfer window, which would surely pave the way for Neymar to join Real.
