Real Madrid have reportedly made their final decision on a move for Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe, with the transfer window due to close on Tuesday night.
Los Blancos made their initial bid for the player early last week, but that was swiftly rejected by the Ligue 1 giants before the LaLiga club followed up with a €180 million (R3.1 billion) offer on Thursday.
PSG sporting director Leonardo confirmed that Mbappe does want to move to the Spanish giants, but also that this would only happen if the suitors meet their evaluation.
However, French outlet RMC Sport has now reported that Mbappe will not be moving to the Spanish capital before the deadline after negotiations were called off on Monday night.
It is further claimed that Mbappe does not intend to sign a new deal with PSG and is likely to join Los Blancos on a free transfer next year, when his contract expires.
The forward is currently on duty with the French national side as they resume their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign this week.
