Reports: Paris Saint-Germain's Neymar To Undergo Surgery, Out Of Real Madrid Clash
Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar will reportedly undergo surgery on his foot, and will not feature in the second leg of the French club's round of 16 clash against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League as a result.
The Brazilian picked up an injury in his side's Ligue 1 clash against Marseille on Sunday, which has worried the club's staff and players since.
Les Parisiens have since revealed via Twitter that their world record signing has suffered a cracked metatarsal.
Now, according to AS, Neymar has decided to go under the knife and will be out of action for at least two months, which would see him miss the second leg of PSG's round of 16 tie against Los Blancos, in which they are currently 3-1 behind on aggregate.
The report claims Neymar would be able to play under painkillers, but that he does not want to risk being injured at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Neymar has played 29 games for the French club so far this season, scoring 29 goals and assisting a further 16 strikes.
