It has been claimed that Neymar spent several minutes chatting to Lionel Messi after Brazil beat Argentina in the semi-final of the 2019 Copa America, a discussion that was apparently not solely about the game.
Following the Selecao's 2-0 win over their South American rivals last week, the two former colleagues shared a brief embrace as they made their way to their respective teams’ dressing rooms.
The injured Neymar and Messi shared a quick hug, before the Brazilian went to celebrate with his countrymen.
However, it has now been claimed there was more to the embrace. According to Sport after spending time with his compatriots in the dressing room, Neymar went to meet with Messi again, this time for much longer.
It is believed that Neymar and Messi were discussing the Brazilian's future, after the former reportedly told Paris Saint-Germain he is desperate for a return to FC Barcelona.
A big advocate for the move is Messi, who has reportedly told the Catalan club's board to do everything they can to bring the 27-year-old back to Spain.
While Barca recently confirmed that Neymar does want to go back to the Blaugrana, PSG have stated they are willing to sell him, but only for the right price.
