Reports: Lionel Messi Lost Temper With Barcelona Boss After Shock UEFA Champions League Exit

FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi is believed to have lost his cool with manager Ernesto Valverde following the Catalan club's unexpected exit from the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.

The Spanish giants were knocked out of the competition by Roma earlier this week, when they threw away a 4-1 first leg quarter-final lead.

Roma's 3-0 win it Italy was enough to send the Blaugrana packing, with the Italians going through on the away goal ruling.

According to Spanish TV Show El Chiringuito, Messi was furious with Valverde's approach to the game, and questioned his methods in the dressing room after the clash.

The Argentine is believed to have made his way straight to the dressing room when the referee blew the final whistle, where he waited for his teammates and manager.

It has been claimed that Messi and Valverde have had no issues up until this point, which could make the next few weeks at the club interesting.

Did Messi & Pique Clash After UCL Exit?

There have also been rumours in Spain that the manager might not be at Barca next season, with their exit from the Champions League being regarded as a massive failure.

Haaa! They are ungrateful, because they are going to win the league bcoz of him. Their lack of fighting spirit on pitch and not having enthusiasm doesn't have anything to do with the coach. Being realistic that was not classical compared to Madrid v juventus.

You have a coach who plays a player with a broken foot. Down 2 goals, seeing his midfielders struggling and makes no subs. Makes a sub at 3 goals down and it Gomes. And brings on a game charger worth 115 Million at the 85 min. And your telling me that his tactics were right. He is the cause of Barca's exit. It would seem he was paid off. Just like the last 4 European Cups. Horrendous coaching errors.
