FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has reportedly asked the Catalan club to sign one of his Argentina teammates.
According to Diario AS, the 31-year-old has told the Blaugrana they should attempt to secure the services of Boca Juniors winger Cristian Pavon.
The 22-year-old impressed for Argentina at the 2018 FIFA World Cup despite his country's poor form at the tournament, during which they won just one game.
It is believed Boca have offered Pavon a new deal amid Barca's reported interest, although there are more clubs said to be chasing his signature.
Arsenal are also said to be monitoring the pacey winger's situation, but reports suggest that his release clause in Argentina could rise to €42.5 million (R670 million).
Pavon has scored 22 goals and assisted a further 29 strikes in 81 senior matches since joining Boca in 2014.
