Manchester United have reportedly been offered a chance to re-sign Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 31-year-old has been heavily linked with a return to United over the past two years, and according to Sport, the Portuguese's former team has been given the opportunity to take the forward back.
Ronaldo, who is valued at about £48 million (R1 billion), has been in great form for Real this season, scoring 42 goals in 39 matches in all competitions.
Red Devils fans have criticised the team for their lack of ruthlessness in front of goal this campaign, with many of them seeing Ronaldo as the solution to their striking problems.
Los Blancos are said to be keen to sell the superstar while he is still of high value, rather than allow him to leave on a possible free deal at a later stage.
The forward scored 118 goals for the Old Trafford club between 2003 and 2009, and is still considered to be one of their greatest players ever.
