The French outfit confirmed one of the biggest transfers in the club's history after the Argentine signed on the dotted line on Tuesday evening.
Messi's arrival in Paris caused quite a stir as was evident by the number of supporters at the airport and the Parc di Princes, where he is set to be unveiled on Wednesday evening.
The Argentine also chose to wear the no.30 jersey which he wore when he made his Barcelona debut, despite reports suggesting Neymar had offered to give up the No.10.
The Sun have now reported that both Messi's home and away jerseys sold out in under 20 minutes after they were announced on the club's official store.
“I am delighted that Lionel Messi has chosen to join Paris Saint-Germain and we are proud to welcome him and his family to Paris," PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi said, as per the club's official website.
"He has made no secret of his desire to continue competing at the very highest level and winning trophies, and naturally our ambition as a club is to do the same.
"The addition of Leo to our world class squad continues a very strategic and successful transfer window for the club. Led by our outstanding coach and his staff, I look forward to the team making history together for our fans all around the world.”
