Recap Of All Ballon d'Or Nominees – Will Cristiano Ronaldo Beat Lionel Messi?

The winner of the Ballon d'Or will be announced today, so here again are all 30 nominees. Will 2017 FIFA Player of the Year Cristiano Ronaldo beat Lionel Messi again?

The 32-year-old Portugal captain is the favourite to lift the award, and if he does win it, the Ronaldo-Messi domination of the prestigious prize will be extended to 10 years.

On 23 October, Ronaldo was named FIFA's The Best Men's Player of the Year, and he will now look to complete his awards brace.

The Golden Ball will be handed out by France Football at about 20:45 (SA time) this evening, with the awards gala starting at 17:00.

The final announcement will be broadcasted on SuperSport 3 between 20:40 and 22:00.

With the nominees having been announced almost two months ago on 9 October, here are the 30 names again (in no particular order):

@lucky555 stop right there my Cow,King CRR7 Helped Portugal Win Euro with 3 Goals,Won Laliga with Real 31 Goals in 38 Games,Won Uefa Champions League With Real 11 Goals nd top Goal Scorer in the process Scored twice in the Final against Juventus a Team that had just conceeded twice leading into the Final,nd what did Ur Sessi boy achieve?..i will listen on Radio

@lucky555 not so long you guys where saying ronaldo's goals where useless few season ago cos he didnt win any trophy so what changed now an the fact is it is both individual an team achievement an champions league count more

If it's individual brilliance Messi should take it but if it's based of what yo team achieved then that will help Cr7 coz Messi was the best player individually but his team was not at their best
