Following Zinedine Zidane's surprise exit from Real Madrid, one of the club's biggest stars, Isco, has addressed the possibility of superstar Cristiano Ronaldo leaving too.
While all the talk was about Ronaldo potentially moving on from Los Blancos in this transfer window after their UEFA Champions League final win, Zidane made the shock announcement that he will be stepping down as Real boss.
Since then, all eyes have refocused on the 33-year-old, who is said to be unhappy that the club did not reward him with an improved deal this past season.
Playmaker Isco hopes to see Ronaldo remain at the Spanish giants, although he feels it is only the Portuguese who can make the decision.
"(Ronaldo's situation) is similar to Zidane's," he noted.
"It is Cristiano who has to make the decision to continue, whether he wants to or not.
"It is in his hands. I hope he stays because he gives us a lot."
Ronaldo scored 44 goals and assisted a further eight strikes in 44 matches for Real in the 2017/18 season.
