Ramos Makes Big Messi Admission
Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos Makes Big Lionel Messi Admission
Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos, who has gone up against FC Barcelona's Lionel Messi many times in his career, recently made a big admission about the Argentine.
Spain hosted the Albiceleste for an international friendly on Tuesday night, but Messi was among several absentees as his country slumped to a humiliating 6-1 defeat.
However, La Furia Roja skipper Ramos reserved some high praise for his LaLiga rival after the match despite his failure to feature in the clash, and claimed that Argentina are a lot weaker without him on the field.
"Leo is an amazing player, a unique player, and the Argentina team is worse without him," he said, according to Sport.
"Argentina, with Messi, are more powerful."
Ramos also explained how delighted he was with Spain's big win over Argentina.
"It's always nice to win against a national team with some many players of great quality," he added.
"Today was one of those games where virtually everything went well. We're on an ideal path heading into the World Cup."
While Ramos is set to be in action against Las Palmas in a LaLiga fixture on Saturday, Messi is a doubt for Barca's clash against Sevilla with a thigh strain.
