Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been in superb form in 2018 so far, has now climbed to the top of this calendar year's scoring chart after struggling in the first half of the season.

The 33-year-old netted Los Blancos' opener in their comfortable 2-1 second-leg round of 16 win over Paris Saint-Germain, which saw his side advance 5-2 on aggregate.
Overall, the Portuguese has now scored 15 goals across all competitions in this calendar year so far – the joint most among all players in Europe's top 10 leagues.
Only Manchester City's Sergio Aguero currently matches Ronaldo's goal exploits in 2018, but the Real talisman scored his 15 in just 11 appearances, while Aguero reached his tally of 15 strikes in 15 games this year.
The top duo is followed by a group of players, including Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann, who have all netted 13 times in 2018 already.
Despite his injury three weeks ago, Neymar is also among the top 10, having scored 11 goals in just eight appearances this year.
The Brazilian is also the only player to come close to Ronaldo's scoring rate, having netted a goal every 65 minutes in 2018 so far, while the five-time Ballon d'Or winner averages a goal every 64 minutes.
Overall, Ronaldo has now scored 31 goals in all competitions this campaign, and his red-hot form has made his slow start – by his standard – to the season, which saw him net 16 goals in 20 games, long forgotten.
