Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, who reportedly fell out with Cristiano Ronaldo during the player's last season at the club, has insisted Los Blancos will always be the Portuguese superstar's home.

Before he signed for Juventus, Spanish reports suggested that Ronaldo was unhappy Real had not stuck to a reported promise of offering him an improved deal.
The 33-year-old surprised many when he eventually exited the doors he played behind for nine years, but Perez has insisted Real will be Ronaldo's home forever.
"(Cristiano) is one of the key figures as he is the top scorer in the history of the club and worthy successor to (Real legend Alfredo) Di Stefano," Perez explained, according to Marca.
"He is a standout figure and his legend will be told from generation to generation. An example for everyone who wears this shirt. Thank you, Cristiano.
"Zidane is another of our all-time references. As coach, he has entered history as one of the greatest at Real Madrid.
"He is one of our biggest legends and he, along with Cristiano, knows that this will always be his home."

Ronaldo scored 450 goals and assisted a further 131 strikes in 438 appearances for Real, before moving to Italy in the latest transfer window.
