FC Barcelona captain Lionel Messi recently ruffled some feathers when he said the Catalan club cannot win the UEFA Champions League this season. His manager Quique Setien has now reacted to his controversial remarks.
In a recent interview, the 32-year-old Argentine explained that he does not believe the Blaugrana are good enough to compete for the Champions League title this campaign.
His comments have caused quite a stir in the city, with his manager Setien now insisting he is absolutely certain the Spanish giants can win the tournament.
"Messi's words I think have created a big debate," he told beIN SPORTS.
"We are convinced that we can win the Champions League.
"We have to improve some things, but without a doubt we are convinced that the team has the potential to win the Champions League.

Barca scored a crucial away goal in their 1-1 draw with Napoli in the first leg of their round of 16 tie before football was brought to a halt due to the coronavirus outbreak.
