Former FC Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola has revealed what Lionel Messi told him after a few days of seeing midfielder Sergio Busquets in training.
Since his Barca debut in 2008 under Guardiola, Busquets has gone on to become one of the most important players at the club, and is recognised as one of the best holding midfielders in world football.
Speaking about Busquets in a recent interview, the Manchester City boss recalled how impressed Messi was with the midfielder after training with him.
"I remember what Messi told me," he told Universo Valdano.
"After two or three days of training with him, he came to me and said, 'I like this one'. And I said, 'When there is trouble, he will be there'.
"He does everything for those around him."
The 30-year-old has been capped 107 times for Spain, and has represented the Catalan giants on 486 occasions so far.
Busquets has lifted every trophy in football, including the FIFA World Cup in 2010.
