The 26-year-old and his colleagues were on the end of a 3-1 defeat to Cristiano Ronaldo and company, which has set up the second leg of the Round of 16 clash to be a mouthwatering affair.
Neymar, who came in for some criticism after the match, has suggested that PSG lacked "maturity" late the second half.
"I think we took a step backwards at various moments," he told AS.
"We should have been calmer and we didn't have the maturity we needed in the later stages of the second half.
"The team needs that little bit extra and we have to accept that. We didn't put in a bad game but we need to improve if we are to have a chance of turning this around.
"It's going to be difficult but not impossible. Last season, we were in a far more difficult situation to make it to the next round."
The Brazilian has scored six goals and assisted a further five strikes in the UCL so far this season.
