Superstar Neymar has been heavily criticised following his disappointing 2018 FIFA World Cup with Brazil. The former FC Barcelona man has also been linked with a move away from Paris Saint-Germain, and his new manager has now opened up on his relationship with the forward.
Things have not run completely smoothly for the star since he left the Catalan giants at the beginning of last season. The Selecao attacker missed the last two months of PSG's previous campaign due to injury, which might have been the cause of an underwhelming World Cup for the Selecao star.
New Les Parisiens boss Thomas Tuchel recently praised Neymar's maturity, and said that while he feels he and the Brazilian have a close connection, he will keep what they discuss private.
"I'm young – well, not so young – but I know when I speak about Neymar, there's a lot of potential to every word that I say," the German tactician said, according to Sport24.
"So the best thing when I speak to him about something, that we do this in closed rooms.
"I'm very sure that I have a connection with him and I'm very sure that I need to have a connection with these kinds of players.
"He's an outstanding player. He knows how to handle big victories, he also knows how to handle defeats, because that's the way sport is.
"It's always a big challenge to bounce back and I will help him with that. What I talk about with him, when I talk with him, it's a secret that I keep."
Neymar is still reportedly wanted by Real Madrid, but after the Spanish giants officially denied any approach for the player, he could potentially only leave PSG next season.
