Uefa have announced the three finalists for the Uefa Men's Player of the Year award, but Liverpool's African duo of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah were snubbed.
Uefa have narrowed down their list of finalists for the annual accolade to just three names ahead of the awards ceremony on 29 August 2019.

Perennial contenders Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have both been included among the finalists, alongside Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk.
Having already won the Uefa Goal of the Season award, Messi is nominated after scoring 51 goals last for Barcelona last season as the club went on to claim a domestic double.
He is joined by long-time rival Ronaldo, who enjoyed a stellar debut season with Juventus, for whom he scored 28 goals, and with Portugal, whom he helped win the inaugural Uefa Nations League.
Van Dijk is the only representative from the Reds' 2018/19 Uefa Champions League title-winning side in the final three, and makes the nominees list after playing an integral role in the club's European success and his nation's run to the Nations League final.
There was no place in the final three for Liverpool's Mane and Salah, however, although the former has been nominated for the Forward of the Year award.
