Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar has learned his fate after he lost his temper in a fight that led to him being one of five players sent off in his team's derby loss to Olympique Marseille on the weekend.
Furious Neymar: He Called Me A 'Monkey Son Of A B****'
The former FC Barcelona forward has been handed a two-match ban after he was sent off on Sunday, with the Ligue de Football Professionnel also revealing that they will investigate Neymar's racism claims, according to Goal.
Following his red card, the Brazilian took to social media to state that Marseille defender Alvaro Gonzalez had racially abused him, claims his opponent has since refuted.
Neymar then released a long statement on Tuesday night in which he admitted to regretting his actions, but stood by his earlier comments about being a victim of racism.
The 28-year-old was spotted striking Gonzalez on the back of the head by VAR, which led to the Brazil international's two-match suspension.
Neymar missed PSG's 1-0 Ligue 1 win over Metz on Wednesday night, and will now serve one more game on the sidelines.
