It has been confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo will not play against Lionel Messi and FC Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League next week.
AS have reported that a new positive COVID-19 test will keep the 35-year-old out of Juventus' meeting with Barcelona next Wednesday.
Ronaldo tested positive for the coronavirus for the first time during the latest international break, which kept him out of Portugal's match against Sweden and Juve's first Champions League match of the campaign.
The latest positive test means the 35-year-old will not be able to feature at all for the Bianconeri aganst Messi and the Blaugrana in their European tie next week, in a clash that would have seen Ronaldo go up against his long-time rival for the first time since his final season at Real Madrid.
It is claimed Ronaldo will have to stay in isolation for a further 10 days, with Juve set to go up against Barcelona on 28 October.
