FC Barcelona superstar Neymar is one of the best players to have come out of Santos' ranks since the legendary Pele, but the Brazilian has now revealed why he will not go back to the club under its current ownership.
The forward made his senior debut for Santos in 2009, and quickly became one of the world's most exciting prospects.
He was then bought by the Blaugrana in 2013 in what has become a controversial transfer – it has been alleged that the actual fee for the move was not what both clubs initially made public.
The player's relationship with Santos has since turned sour, and Neymar has now admitted he will not go back to the Brazilian club under their current hierarchy.
"I left a message in my locker when I left there, saying: 'I'm going, but I will return'," he told Playboy's Brazilian edition.
"But today, with the board they have there, I do not have the intention of returning."
Neymar made 134 appearances for Santos' senior side, scoring 70 goals and assisting a further 38 strikes.
