With question marks surrounding his future at Paris Saint-Germain, a compatriot of Neymar's has insisted the No.10 jersey is waiting for him at his Premier League club.
In recent weeks, Brazilian superstar Neymar has often seen his name in the rumour mill as speculation of a potential PSG exit continues.
The French giants are said to be establishing a new culture at the club, according to President Nasser Al-Khelaifi, and multiple reports suggest that the record Ligue 1 champions are open to selling the winger five years after making him the most expensive footballer in history.
His countryman Joelinton has now offered him a haven in the English top flight at Newcastle United.
The Brazilian, who has spent the past three seasons on Tyneside, has urged Neymar to come play with him and another member of the Selecao, Bruno Guimaraes, at the Magpies.
"We can get him a spot, sure! In any team in the world," he said while speaking on the Cast FC podcast.
"If he comes it will be... I can't explain it, the man is an idol, is huge in world soccer.
"So, the invitation is done. Ney, if you are listening to this, you can come. I'll run for you all the time.
"If we have the chance, I hope the coach will call him.
"The No. 10 shirt is there waiting for him.
"I'll send a message to Bruno. Bruno has his contact, he can send a message inviting Ney to play there."
This is the second time this week a fellow Brazilian has urged the former Barcelona man to play in the Premier League, with Thiago Silva also eager to have his former teammate make his way to Stamford Bridge.
Both Newcastle and Chelsea are likely to be able to afford to bring the 30-year-old on board, but with the Geordies having just come into new wealth, it might be a step too far trying to lure the likes of Neymar to the club considering they managed only an 11th-place finish in the 2021/22 campaign.
