After Paris Saint-Germain drew FC Barcelona for the first knockout round of the UEFA Champions League, Neymar sent a message to his former teammate Lionel Messi, whom the Brazilian reportedly wants to see join him at the French giants.
The pair will meet for the first time since Neymar left the Blaugrana for the Ligue 1 champions, and is clearly looking forward to reuniting with his ex-colleague.
Neymar, who recently said he wants to play with Messi again next season, posted a message on Instagram for the six-time Ballon d'Or winner, writing: "See you soon, my friend."
The Selecao international grew close with the Argentine in Spain, where they spent four years together in the same side from 2013 to 2017.
Along with Luis Suarez, Neymar and Messi were part of one of the deadliest front trios football has ever seen, and it was one that was reportedly close to reforming last year.
Now, however, it seems more plausible that Messi will join forces with Neymar in France, with the 33-year-old's contract at Barcelona expiring at the end of the season.
