The Brazilian netted his 100th goal in Barca colours during his side's 4-1 win over Granada on the weekend.
According to Marca, he needed 178 games to reach this impressive milestone, which is 10 appearances less than Messi needed to score his first 100 goals for the Blaugrana.
However, nine players, including the likes of Rivaldo (172 games), former Sundowns boss Hristo Stoichkov (155 games) and Eto'o (154 games) reached this milestone quicker than Neymar and Messi.
Their current teammate Luis Suarez scored his 100th Barcelona goal in January 2017, and only needed 120 appearances to reach the mark, making him the third quickest player to reach a century of goals in the club's history.
Martin Alonso, who needed just 114 games for his first 100 Barca goals, and the legendary Laszlo Kubala, who scored his century in just 103 run-outs, remain the quickest players to reach the 100-goal mark.
Neymar became only the third Brazilian in the club's history to score 100 goals, the others being Evaristo, who ended up on 105 goals and Rivaldo, who left the club with 130 goals in the record books.
