The 26-year-old was devastated following Brazil's exit from the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, where the Selecao were knocked out by Belgium at the quarter-final stage.
Neymar has since explained that losing to Belgium was the lowest he has ever felt in his career, and even stated that he did not want to see or kick another football for a while.
However, the former FC Barcelona man was in Sao Paulo, Brazil, recently for his five-a-side tournament called "Neymar Jr's Five", where he was accompanied by friends and five-a-side teams from all around the world, including one from South Africa.
At the event, Neymar was asked to name his five-a-side dream team, and he, perhaps unsurprisingly, selected former colleague Lionel Messi as well as Gabriel Jesus, among others.
"I'd play alongside Messi, Dani Alves, Thiago Silva and Gabriel Jesus," he told 433.
There was no space for the likes of Suarez, Mbappe or Andres Iniesta in Neymar's team, although the PSG man's team did appear to have a Brazilian bias.
