Brazilian superstar Neymar's transfer to FC Barcelona is set to be investigated again, this time by La Liga.
The legality of the player's 2013 move from Brazilian club Santos to Barca has been in question ever since he arrived in Spain.
It is believed the transfer fee released to the public was false, and La Liga have now confirmed they will be making an investigation of their own – a previous case had already been heard, with the Catalan club admitting their wrongdoing.
"Following widespread media reports, La Liga confirms that an informative hearing will be launched with FC Barcelona in relation to the agreement reached between the club's board and the Spanish Public Prosecutor's Office in the Neymar legal case," an official statement from La Liga read.
Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu accepted a fine earlier this year, which saw the club cleared of any wrongdoing, but it may be a while before the case is ultimately resolved.
Neymar has also had tax issues in recent years, which is said to have led to his agent Wagner Ribeiro actively seeking a move away from Spain for his client.
The agent recently admitted he wanted the Brazilian to join Paris Saint-Germain, but that the player decided to stay at the Camp Nou.
