The French giants beat Troyes 2-0 in a league encounter on Wednesday, and although the game did not have many goals in it, it did not go without drama.
PSG were awarded a penalty near the end of the first half after Cavani was adjudged to have been pulled to the floor by one of the opposition defenders.
Cavani grabbed the ball almost immediately to take the spot-kick, but, as we saw earlier in the season, Neymar seemingly tried to retrieve it from the Uruguayan.
According to GiveMeSport, the Brazilian attempted to take the ball from the Uruguayan, who denied the 25-year-old the chance to shoot from the spot.
Cavani's effort was eventually saved by the opposition goalkeeper, and some feel that Neymar asking to take the penalty might have thrown the 30-year-old off.
Both stars did, however, score on the night, with Cavani now having hit the back of the net on 23 occasions this season, while Neymar scored 15 times across all competitions.
