Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar has put clubs such as Manchester City and Manchester United on alert after dropping a big hint about potentially joining a team in the Premier League one day.
The 26-year-old became football's most expensive player ever when he joined the French giants from FC Barcelona for €222 million (R3.49 billion) in 2017.
On Wednesday, Neymar hosted a Q&A on his YouTube channel, and was asked by Manchester City's Benjamin Mendy if he could imagine playing in England one day.
"Neymar Jr, answer me in French. Do you think you'll one day play in the Premier League?" Mendy asked, as quoted by The Sun.
The Brazilian answered: "We don't know what will happen tomorrow but I believe that every great player, at least one day, has to play in the Premier League.
"If you're playing there, I hope you can keep enjoying the Premier League, because you deserve only the best.
"It's a big competition, one of the greatest in the world."
Neymar has often been linked with a return to LaLiga in recent months, with both Spanish giants FC Barcelona and Real Madrid reportedly interested in the superstar.
However, Premier League sides, such as the two Manchester clubs, will now have taken note of his words above.
