Neymar has told FC Barcelona fans they can "relax" about his future as contract negotiations with the club have now begun.
The Brazilian, who still has three years left on his current contract, put in a stellar performance against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday – scoring four goals on the night.
The 23-year-old rubbished reports that he was thinking of leaving the Catalan club and put the Blaugrana fans at ease by saying he would sign a new deal.
"The renewal is under way. I still have years left on my contract. I'm going to sign. The fans can relax," Neymar told Sport.
"Yes, (the Vallecano match) was an historic night which I am going to savour for all my life. I want to congratulate the team for producing a great performance."
The Brazil captain was also pleased with how the side performed without talisman Lionel Messi.
"We are all leaders on the pitch," Neymar added.
"Each one of us does our work and has our way of playing. We are all very important on the pitch and together we make a strong group."
Barcelona return to Champions League action on Tuesday when they face BATE Borisov at the Borisov Arena.
