One of football’s super agents has suggested that superstar Neymar should not move to Real Madrid, believing that being in the same team as Cristiano Ronaldo is a bad idea for the Brazilian.
Pini Zahavi, who represents Robert Lewandowski and has been involved in many big transfer deals over the years, believes the Brazilian made the right decision to leave FC Barcelona.
With Neymar having already played second fiddle to Lionel Messi in Spain, the Israeli agent feels a similar situation would arise if the 26-year-old joined Real.
"Neymar did what he had to," Zahavi told Polish sports newspaper Przeglad Sportowy.
"There are only three football superstars – Messi, Cristiano and Neymar. They can't play in one club.
"At Barca, Ney always was the No. 2. He was the second to shoot from free-kicks, second to the penalties, second to everything.
"He came to Spain as a young boy. He grew up. Now he's 26 and has eight or nine years at the top level. He needs independence."
Neymar is likely to miss the rest of the season through injury at Paris Saint-Germain, where he has scored 29 goals and assisted a further 19 strikes in 30 games.
