One of FC Barcelona’s newest signings was nearly at a loss for words after lining up alongside superstar Lionel Messi for the first time in the Catalan club’s 3-0 win over Boca Juniors on Wednesday.
New acquisition Malcom impressed in the Joan Gamper Trophy on Wednesday at the Camp Nou, scoring the first goal of the match after receiving the ball from Messi.
Asked about what it was like playing with the Argentine, Malcom said he could hardly explain the feeling.
"I have no words to define it," he said, according to Sport.
"He's the best in the world and to start a game with him and that he sets you up a goal makes me very happy."
The Brazilian was also delighted to have played his first game at Barca’s beloved stadium.
"(I’m) very happy to be a champion and to see this stadium with so many fans.
"It's my first game at Camp Nou I have my family in the stands and I scored a goal, it's a dream. Although it was a friendly I'm very happy, because it's important to start off scoring."
Messi and Rafinha also got their names on the score sheet at the Camp Nou to secure a confident 3-0 win.
