The Liverpool talisman wasn’t on the score-sheet in his side’s 4-2 defeat to Roma on Wednesday, which was still enough to see them book their ticket to the final of the European Cup after beating his former side 7-6 on aggregate.
Only Ronaldo has currently scored more goals in the competition than Salah, who became the first African to score 10 goals in a single European campaign.
However, the Egypt international has played down the importance of himself and the Portuguese squaring off in the final on 26 May in Kyiv.
“It is not going to be a final between Mohamed Salah and Cristiano Ronaldo,” he told beIN Sports Mena.
“I am playing for a great club and we have great players. Qualifying for the final came with great team work, I cannot do it alone.
“I know all of the Arab people wish the best for me and they are happy every time I win, but at the moment I am only thinking about the final and bringing the trophy to Anfield.”
Salah was also asked whether the Reds’ defense was an area of concern for the final, but dismissed such talk.
“Of course not. It is about collective work,” he added.
“When we score a goal it's because we are all doing good, when we concede it means we all need to work harder.”
Overall, Salah has scored 43 goals across all competitions this season – the joint-most in Europe, along with Lionel Messi and one more than Ronaldo.
