Ajax Amsterdam wonderkid Matthijs de Ligt has admitted that while he would love to play alongside Lionel Messi and Frenkie de Jong at FC Barcelona, he still has doubts as to where his playing future lies.
The 19-year-old has been strongly linked with the Catalan club in recent months, although Paris Saint-Germain have now emerged as his most likely destination.
The defender was recently asked about the possibility of joining the Blaugrana, and responded by suggesting that while there are players he would love to play with every week, he must take more than that into consideration.
"Barcelona have great defenders, and it is logical and normal that there is competition, but it is not something that frightens me," he told Mundo Deportivo.
"Of course, it would be nice to play with De Jong and Messi at Barcelona, but I must look at what is best for me."
De Ligt also insisted he will not take money into account when deciding his next club.
"Money is not the problem," he added.
"The most important thing is knowing in the team where you go (that) you will have prominence and play many games.
"I still don't know what my heart says. On my holiday, I will be able to think it over and decide what I am going to do with my future.
"I don't know when I'm going to have it figured out, but I'm going to take my time."
De Ligt played 55 matches for Ajax this past season, scoring seven goals and winning two trophies along the way.
