Manchester United are hoping to take advantage of Cristiano Ronaldo’s discomfort at Real Madrid and will make an approach to sign their former player.
Ronaldo’s frustration with the Bernabeau crowd, as well as some of his teammates, was made clear after Real’s 4-3 loss to Schalke in the Champion’s League and, according to fichajes.net, his former club are hoping to make the most of the situation as they look to bring the three-time Ballon d’Or winner back to England.
Despite remaining a key figure at Real Madrid, Ronaldo’s form since the start of 2015 has been poor and his position at the club is not as secure as it was at the end of last year. So, for him to return to Manchester would not be unthinkable.
Any possible move for Ronaldo will likely cost in excess of €100 million. However, it has also been reported that Manchester United have spoken to Jorge Mendes (Ronaldo’s agent) about the move.
