With his future at Juventus uncertain, Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly been offered a contract by Manchester City worth €15 million (R264 million) a season.
Shock Report: Ronaldo Pushes For Man City
Following the news that Harry Kane will be staying at Tottenham Hotspur for the 2021/22 season, it seems the Citizens have now turned their attention elsewhere.
While they were linked with the England captain, rumours suggested that super-agent Jorge Mendes had offered his client's services to the Premier League giants.
City, however, were said to be determined to sign Kane, which could potentially explain why they did not immediately jump at the chance to move for Ronaldo.
According to Italian football transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, though, the English giants have now offered the 36-year-old Portugal captain a two-year deal that would see him earn between €14 and €15 million a season.
'The Sooner CR7 Leaves, The Better!'
Ronaldo's agent Mendes is now reportedly set to meet with the Bianconeri board to discuss the ex-Manchester United winger's future.
