With former Brazil superstar Ronaldinho potentially facing six months behind bars, FC Barcelona captain Lionel Messi is reportedly determined to help his former teammate and friend get out of jail.

The 39-year-old was detained by Paraguayan authorities last week after he and his brother were found with fake Paraguayan passports.
The most recent update is that Ronaldinho and his brother were denied house arrest as the judge in charge of the case fears the former footballer would try to escape the country due to the attention the case is getting.
Now, according to TeamTalk, Blaugrana superstar Messi ready to lend his ex-teammate a helping hand by hiring lawyers to help Ronaldinho get out of jail.
It is said that the 32-year-old could end up spending about €4 million (R72 million) in attempt to help the ex-Brazil talisman.
Messi and Ronaldinho spent some time together in Barcelona's first team before the latter joined AC Milan in 2007.
