Lionel Messi has opened up about a potential return to FC Barcelona in some capacity in the future after parting ways with the club earlier this year.

Messi's contract was allowed to run down at the end of last season, but the Spanish club was not able to re-sign him on a new deal due to their high wage bill.
The Argentine, who has since joined Paris Saint-Germain, has previously revealed that he wanted to stay at the Camp Nou, and he has now claimed that he would like to return to the club in some capacity in the future.
"Yes. I always said that I would love to be able to help the club," he told Sport.
"I would love to be a technical secretary at some point. I don't know if it will be at Barcelona or not. Or if it will be elsewhere.
"If there is a possibility, I would like to contribute again in what I can because it is the club that I love and I would love for it to continue to be good, to continue growing and to continue being one of the best in the world."
The Argentine superstar's time at PSG has not gone all too smoothly as he is yet to find the back of the net in Ligue 1 after five matches.
