FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi's brother is believed to have received a prison sentence for the illegal possession of a firearm.
According to Argentine newspaper La Capital, Matias Messi, 35, was handed a two and a half year sentence on Thursday, but will not serve any time in jail.
It has been claimed the Blaugrana forward's brother has instead been ordered to perform community service for being found in possession of an unlicensed gun back in November 2017.
The weapon was reportedly found inside a blood-stained boat that Matias was believed to have crashed in the Parana River that flows through a few countries in South America.
Matias has had several run-ins with the law over the years, and was arrested as recently as May when he reportedly threatened another civilian with a gun following a car accident.

Police also found Matias with an unlicensed firearm in 2015, while he was also involved in a similar situation 10 years ago.
