With FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi not having played for Argentina since the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the date of his return for the Albiceleste has now reportedly been revealed.
'Neymar Is Certain He Will Play For Barca Next Season'
Following a disappointing tournament in Russia, Messi has not been seen wearing his national team colours since.
The 31-year-old made himself unavailable for the past three squad announcements, but members of the Argentina set-up have remained confident of their captain's eventual return.
According to Mundo Albiceleste, Messi will officially be back in action for his country in March next year, ahead of the 2019 Copa America in June/July.
Interim manager Lionel Scaloni has used a younger and more enthusiastic crop of players in recent months, although there have been calls from both Mauro Icardi and Paulo Dybala for Messi to make a comeback.
The Blaugrana forward is his country's all-time leading goalscorer with 65 goals in 128 games.
