The Argentine was on hand to score twice in the Catalan club's emphatic 5-1 win over Lyon, which helped send the Blaugrana through to quarter-final stage of the competition.
Messi opened the scoring with an audacious panenka penalty in the 18th minute, before striking a second time in the 78th minute.
With his first goal, the Argentine brought up his 35th strike of the season, a tally he has now reached in the past 11 consecutive campaigns.

The 31-year-old has now found the back of the net on 36 occasions in as many matches across all competitions for Barca so far this season, and has also assisted a further 21 strikes.
