With just five games left to play, Lionel Messi has moved ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo in the European Golden Shoe race.
The Argentine netted his side's only goal in their shock 2-1 home loss to Granada on Thursday night.
FC Barcelona's defeat in their catch-up game saw them miss out on the chance to go top of the LaLiga table, so it was a bitter blow for Messi and his teammates.
The 33-year-old, though, did do enough to go ahead of Ronaldo in the Golden Shoe ranking and move into second place behind Robert Lewandowski.
However, it seems unlikely he will catch the Bayern Munich striker, who has scored an incredible 36 goals in the Bundesliga so far this season.
Messi is currently 10 strikes behind him, but has now moved one goal ahead of Ronaldo, who is in joint-third place with Andre Silva, Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe.
