Lionel Messi has named his two favourites to rival FC Barcelona for the UEFA Champions League trophy this season.
The Blaugrana, who are unbeaten in this year's tournament so far, face reigning Premier League champions Chelsea in the Round of 16, with the first leg set to be played on 20 February.
The Argentine, who has won the competition four times before, thinks Pep Guardiola's Manchester City and Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain are the strongest teams remaining in the competition.
"Manchester City are one of the strongest teams around, as well as Paris Saint-Germain," Messi told the Daily Mirror.
"I also do not exclude Real Madrid in terms of quality and experience, even though they have not yet achieved the expected results.
"Then there's Bayern Munich, another great team who will play until the end. Today, however, the best are City and PSG."
Messi has made six appearances in the Champions League so far this season, scoring three goals and assisting one further strike.
