FC Barcelona superstars Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez were kept quiet in their 3-0 loss to Roma on Tuesday, and have consequently taken a lot of blame for the Catalan club's exit from the UEFA Champions League.

After winning the first leg of their quarter-final 4-1 in Barcelona, the Catalan club would have felt confident they were getting through to the next round of the competition, but Roma had other plans.
The Italian side's 3-0 victory in Rome on Tuesday night saw them knock Ernesto Valverde's side out on away goals, and former Real Madrid and Liverpool striker Michael Owen has pointed fingers at Barca's two main men.
"It is incredible. When we look at the stats and everything that it tells us it is incredible, but your eyes don't lie," he said, according to the Daily Mail.
"We looked at the game in the first leg… we've watched Barcelona for a number of months now and I'm not sure – even though they haven't conceded many – I'm not sure you cannot concede when you've got two strikers (Messi & Suarez) that don't put anything into defending.
"They are basically defending with eight outfield players against 11, and I'm not sure you can do that at the highest level.
"You could argue that Roma aren't at the highest level. There are teams that will exploit that even more. But no more, because Barca are out."
Messi and Suarez managed only one goal between them in their quarter-final tie against Roma.
The Blaugrana are still in contention to win two trophies this season – the Copa del Rey and the LaLiga title.
