In goal, Spanish publication Marca selected Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, who, at 23 years old, is considered one of the best young shot-stoppers in Europe. Real Madrid are said to be interested in the player.
At left-back is Manchester United's Daley Blind, who will also leave the Red Devils for free if he does not sign a new deal at the club before the end of the campaign.
The two centre backs selected were Juventus' Giorgio Chiellini and Inter Milan's Miranda, while Atletico Madrid's Juanfran is at right back.
In the middle of the park, the publication went with three top players whose deals are expiring in Schalke's Leon Goretzka, Liverpool's Emre Can and Manchester United's Ander Herrera.
Arsenal attacking duo Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil were named on either wing, while through the middle is Barca's Messi, who is yet to commit his future to the Blaugrana.
