FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi is currently showing his poorest form in El Clasicos since he first featured in a match against Real Madrid.
The Argentine failed to score in Barca's 2-1 defeat to Real on Saturday night, which means he has now gone five consecutive games without scoring against his club's biggest rivals.
This current streak is his worst run since his first Clasico, while Real talisman Cristiano Ronaldo has netted four times in his past five games against the Catalan giants.
The Portuguese has now scored 16 goals against the Blaugrana, surpassing Real legend Raul's tally of 15 Clasico strikes – another Los Blancos icon, Alfredo Di Stefano, remains in second place with 18 goals, while Messi still leads the standings with 21 strikes.
Real's win on the weekend takes them to seven points behind log leaders Barca, with second-placed Atletico Madrid sitting six points shy of the table-toppers.
Barcelona will face Atletico in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night, while Los Blancos are set to take on Wolfsburg on Wednesday.
