Superstar Lionel Messi has once again insisted he does not like the idea of Neymar potentially joining Real Madrid, and says he personally would love to see the Brazilian return to FC Barcelona.
The Brazilian has been heavily linked with a switch to Real ever since he joined Paris Saint-Germain at the beginning of the past season, with many seeing him as the natural heir to Cristiano Ronaldo's throne at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Messi, who recently revealed that he gave Neymar a piece of his mind concerning the rumours, has once again admitted he would not like to see the 26-year-old join Los Blancos, and that it would be great to see him rejoin the Catalan giants instead.
"I would personally love to see him back at Barcelona. He is an exceptional player. It would be great for us if he came back," he told Mundo Deportivo.
"But the truth is I think it is very unlikely. Having him here again would be fantastic. If it was up to me, I would love to see it.
"If he goes to Madrid, the truth is I would not like that at all."
Neymar scored 28 goals and assisted a further 17 strikes in 30 matches in his debut season in France.
