After reportedly falling out with one of his teammates at Paris Saint-Germain earlier this season, Lionel Messi appears to be close to getting his January transfer wish.
'Messi Is Unrecognisable At PSG'
In October, it was claimed that the Argentine wanted the club to sell his compatriot Mauro Icardi, with whom his relationship has never been good.
The report suggested the ex-Inter Milan captain felt it was Messi’s dislike for him that ultimately cost him an international career, with the forward having made just eight appearances for his country.
Following Messi’s arrival at the club in August, Icardi was immediately linked with a move away from the club, and it seems the French giants could be ready to let him go in this January transfer window.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are among the clubs waiting to pounce on the situation, with the player himself said to be open to leaving this month.
It has been reported that on-loan Spain international Alvaro Morata could depart the Italian giants in the coming weeks as the Bianconeri seek a permanent option.
Icardi joined PSG in 2020 and has contributed to 48 goals in 82 matches across all competitions so far.
